Interactive Fiction Competition 2010

Well this year turned out to be incredible. Almost all the games from last year scored two points higher in there ranking. So 10th place last year scored a 6, where this year it scored an 8. It made for a much more enjoyable competition. And I have to say it came just in time. After playing through everything last year I didn’t really feel up to the challenge of playing a total of 26 games.

But this year turned out to be awesome, and any game that I scored an 8 or above on I think should be played, though Ninja’s Fate is a must play for myself more than anybody else. And if you are interested in playing one of these games make sure to get the latest version off the IFDB, I’ve noticed a few authors have already uploaded updated releases.

And to any authors that run across this, I have transcripts for any game that could generate one. If you’re interested in looking at it, hopefully to make improvements on the current version, send me an e-mail and I’ll get it out to you. And thanks to all the authors that submitted their games, it was an enjoyment to be able to play through them.
